The Carling Avenue and Andrew Haydon Park culvert rehabilitation will begin in the next couple of days. And, in order to complete the work, the contractor will need to clear a path through the existing vegetation for heavy machinery to access. In assessing the path on site, Forestry identified a section of shrubs that was planted by local volunteers approximately 10 years ago. Although these shrubs will need to be removed, staff have tasked the contractor with reinstating them once the construction is done. The Site Inspector and contractor will work collaboratively to ensure the least amount of vegetation will be impacted.
