I am truly grateful to everyone who joined us for our annual Spring Tea this afternoon. Your presence contributed to an amazing turnout, making the event exceptionally special.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible volunteers who arrived early to set up, served coffee and tea, and stayed to help clean up. Your dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed. Additionally, we deeply appreciate the City staff and community partners who provided engaging and informative tables, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Residents greatly value the chance to connect and learn about the available resources and supports.
A special thank you to our celebrity servers, Councillor Jeff Leiper and Ottawa Community Housing CEO Stephane Giguere. I really appreciate their making time to support us today. It was also wonderful to see Councillor Leiper have a chance to reconnect with several residents who use to live in the areas of Kitchissippi Ward, that are now a part of Bay Ward. We were also delighted to have Councillor Allan Hubley, the Council Co-Liaison for Older Adults with myself, MPP Chandra Pasma, and Alex Cullen join us Each contributing to the day’s success.
