The City of Ottawa’s Water Services completes preventative water main maintenance to ensure the continued efficient
delivery of safe drinking water to your community. City staff will be marking locations in preparation to place a series of 30cm (1 foot) diameter holes on City property in the lawn to install a corrosion protection system on the metallic
water main in some areas of the community.


Notifications to the local residents that are affected by this program have been handed out. This Program will run approximately from May 2024 until September 2024. The list of affected streets in your Ward is included below.

Please note:
- There will be noise associated with the work.
- Work will be completed quickly and holes are refilled
the same day. - There will be no impact to water quality.
- Traffic and pedestrian impacts will be minimal.
Please keep the following lawn care tips in mind (if
applicable) after holes are refilled:
- Water new seeds early in the morning or late in the
evening. Apply 20 to 30 mm (1 inch) of water each
day. Continue watering for two weeks. - Do not water after a rainfall of 20 to 30 mm (1 inch).
- Allow two weeks for grass to take root before mowing.
- Do not use fertilizers during the first month of growth.
