Use geoOttawa to find maps, zoning, and so much more!
geoOttawa is an interactive map tool that allows you to view map layers, get information and answers about the locations in the City of Ottawa. You can search by address, intersections, streets, facilities, or park names to find a location. Many different layers of information are available such as parks, schools, City facilities, property parcels, roads, zoning and aerial photos dating back to 1928. geoOttawa is a great tool to get information about city infrastructure.
With this mapping tool, you can:
- View the route of the new LRT
- Find out the current zoning designation of an area or a lot (see Ottawa.ca for definition of zoning designations)
- View the border of a parcel of land
- Water and wastewater infrastructure
- and much more
Once you are on geoOttawa , you can select the “ i “ icon for information on this application. The two features our office uses most are the Layer List and the Basemap Gallery.
To view the route of the LRT, you select the layer “Rail Implementation Office”. You can zoom in or out as you navigate the map.
The 24 ward boundaries have now been updated on geoOttawa to reflect the new ward boundary expansion.
