Thank you to everyone who came out to join the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Blood Red Memorial Flagpole in Britannia Park. Over 100 residents were in attendance. Special guests and participants included MPP Chandra Pasma, several Canadian Service Members, the Northwest One Choir, and bugler Alexandre Rocheleau. Thank you to Murray Angus for sharing his poem Why I wear the red poppy.

Carlingwood Ceremony
Following the ceremony at Britannia Park I had the opportunity to join residents at the Carlingwood Mall for the 11am service where I had the privilege of laying a wreath on behalf of the City of Ottawa.

Westboro
Thanks to the Westboro Legion for a beautiful ceremony. The Legion holds their event at 2pm in order to accommodate those who wish to participate in earlier ceremonies. It was a privilege to lay a wreath on behalf of the Ottawa Council of women alongside Shelia Pepper and Sheila Perry and a wreath on behalf of the City of Ottawa with my colleague Councilor Jeff Leiper.
