Making our community a better place to live, work and play
Community associations are formed when groups of neighbours come together to share their ideas and work cooperatively to make their neighbourhood a better place to live. Bay Ward is fortunate to be the home of many community associations.

- Woodroffe North Community Association (wncaottawa@gmail.com)
Each of these associations give residents the opportunity to speak with a unified voice and become an advocate in their neighbourhood. They also foster support systems and strengthen connections by engaging community members in the area through social events and working towards common goals. This can include organizing community Bar-B-Ques, clean-ups, increasing safety initiatives, monitoring development proposals, as well as helping to raise funds to improve parks, amenities, infrastructure and more.

I encourage everyone to connect with the community association in their area. Whether to volunteer or learn more about the community, making this connection can be an enriching experience.
