The City of Ottawa Roads and Parking team is committed to the delivery of services that will keep residents safe as they travel the sidewalks, streets and winter cycling network. Their team has participated in additional awareness training which has helped them to identify the barriers that residents may face while accessing our sidewalks, roads, winter cycling network or public parking facilities. Throughout the winter, work will continue to look at options for addressing those barriers.
If a resident is aware of any accessibility issues, they are encouraged to complete a form online, or to contact 3-1-1 to report it to staff. Service requests via social media are not accepted.
For all emergency requests, residents are asked to call 3-1-1. If this service is not available to you, or to use our Video Relay Service (VRS), please call 613-580-2400.
If you would prefer to report the problem online, you can do so here:
- Winter road maintenance
- Winter sidewalk maintenance
- Gravel Shoulder
- Area Between Road and Sidewalk (Easement)
Residents are encouraged to read the update on the Winter Maintenance Quality Standards Review.
Snow Go and Help Around the Home
For those who may require additional support to clear snow during the winter, the Snow Go or Snow Go Assist Programs are options.
The Snow Go Assist Program is a program that provides financial assistance to eligible low-income seniors and people with disabilities to pay for a portion of their snow removal costs. More information about the program can be found at Ottawa.ca – Help Around the Home.
