Skill Based Volunteering
Do you have a special skill, qualification, or interest that could benefit the Ottawa Food Bank (OFB)? OFB are building an inventory of volunteer skills to draw on when required. If you are interested, please email joannne@ottawafoodbank.ca and indicate your specific skill and experience and if you are interested in an ongoing role or a short-term project.

The Ottawa Food Bank has two programs dedicated to supporting children and babies in the community.
Our KickStart programs provide healthy snacks to 18 after-school programs and in the summer, we provide 25 summer programs and up to 2000 children, with access to healthy and nutritious food like milk, cheese, fruit, vegetables, apple sauces, and yogurt.
During our 2022-2023 fiscal, the Ottawa Food Bank distributed, 346,225 pounds of baby food and supplies, including diapers, formula, and cereal for the Baby Basics program
