The Stage 2 Team has sent an update regarding the truck route via Queensview Drive through the OC Transpo facility.
As the City is opening up, OC Transpo intends to return to regular service levels the week of June 29th. As a result, the hours KEV is able to use the facility for access are slightly reduced. The current plan is that KEV will only do their hauling during the hours they are permitted to use the OC Transpo facility. The current working plan (subject to change) is that this would continue until the temporary road between OC Transpo & Leons is built.
Therefore, for the next while there still shouldn’t be any regular trucks on QTN community streets. Over the last week the contractor has cracked down on the trucks using unapproved community street routes. Residents should continue to send any such reports to stage2@ottawa.ca.
There may be changes in September.
In September, OC Transpo normally adjusts for higher service levels and the current plan may need to be re-evaluated. At this time, we don’t know when construction of the temporary road through OC Transpo/Leons will be completed. KEV is still working on the land agreement and design work.
