Come by and pick up a tree (up to 25) for your property. You must register online before receiving a tree. This is part of Ecology Ottawa’s goal of distributing up to 15,000 trees across Ottawa this year, to help protect Ottawa’s urban tree canopy. They expect to have 200-300 trees to give away, on a first come first served basis. Ecology Ottawa provides planting and care instructions and follow up with everyone who receives a tree from us periodically to remind them to water it and check to see if it survived its first year.
Kayoki, Food and Climate Educator and the Future Food Warrior will give tours of the Ajashki “Heart” Garden Tours.
