Ottawa – Upcoming events and projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:
Albert Street – Beginning Monday, September 9, for approximately two months, there will be lane reductions on Albert Street between City Centre Avenue and the Trillium multi-use pathway during off-peak hours to build cycling and transportation infrastructure.
Anderson Road – On weekdays, from Tuesday, September 10 until Thursday, October 31, there will be intermittent lane reductions on Anderson Road between Renaud Road and Russell Road, between 9 am and 3 pm and between 5:30 pm and 7 am, for road resurfacing.
Carling Avenue – From Friday, September 13 at 7 pm until Monday, September 16 at 6 am, Carling Avenue will be closed between Moodie Drive and Herzberg Road to install a sanitary sewer. There will be a signed detour and pedestrians and cyclists will continue to have access.
Hazeldean Road – From Monday, September 9 until Friday, October 25, there will be lane reductions on Hazeldean Road between Fringewood Drive and Cedarow Court to install a sanitary sewer. One lane will remain open in each direction. A second eastbound lane will be open daily from 7 am to 9 am. A second westbound lane will be open daily from 3:30 pm to 7 pm. The north and south sidewalks will remain open.
Jockvale Road – Beginning Monday, September 9 until the end of September, Jockvale Road will be reduced to a single alternating lane during off-peak hours, between Strandherd Drive and Tartan Drive/Exeter Drive. A flag person will be on site to direct traffic. That portion of Jockvale Road will also be closed to northbound traffic nightly between Friday, September 6 and Sunday, September 8.
Strandherd Drive – Beginning Monday, September 9 until the end of September, Strandherd Drive will be reduced to one lane westbound between Greenbank Road and Jockvale Road to add a new watermain. Greenbank Road will also be reduced to one southbound lane at the intersection of Strandherd Drive nightly between Friday, September 6 and Sunday, September 8.
