Upcoming events and projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:
Carling Avenue – From Friday, September 13 at 7 pm until Monday, September 16 at 6 am, Carling Avenue will be closed between Moodie Drive and Herzberg Road to install a sanitary sewer. There will be a signed detour and pedestrians and cyclists will continue to have access.
Greenbank Road – From Friday, September 13 at 7 pm until Monday, September 16 at 6 am, Greenbank Road will be closed between Fallowfield and West Hunt Club roads to replace the asphalt. Vehicles will be detoured via Woodroffe Avenue.
Highway 417 – From Friday, September 13 at 11 pm until Monday, September 16 at 5 am, the on-ramps at Greenfield Avenue and Nicholas Street to Highway 417 westbound will be closed to replace culverts and pave asphalt. Vehicles will be detoured via the O’Connor Street on-ramp.
Richmond Road – Beginning Monday, September 16 until end of November, Richmond Road will be reduced to one westbound lane between Redwood and Fraser avenues to replace a watermain. Eastbound traffic will be detoured onto Byron Avenue. Cycling lanes will be available on Byron Avenue between Redwood and Fraser avenues. Two pedestrian crosswalks will be available on Byron Avenue at Wavell and Westminster avenues. Bus stops 7511 and 4940 at the intersections of Richmond Road and Wavell Avenue, and Richmond Road and Westminster Avenue will be relocated to Byron Avenue. Fraser Avenue will be converted to one-way traffic northbound between Byron Avenue and Richmond Road. Redwood Avenue will be converted to one-way traffic southbound between Richmond Road and Keenan Avenue. Visit ottawa.ca for additional information and detour maps.
Snake Island Road – From Monday, September 16 until Monday, September 23, Snake Island Road will be closed between Nixon Drive and Doyle Road to replace a culvert.
