OUpcoming events and projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:
Highway 417 – Beginning Monday, May 13, the Highway 417 Maitland eastbound on and off ramps will be closed for two weeks as part of Queensway Expansion East plan.
Elgin Street – Beginning on Wednesday, May 15, Jack Purcell Lane at Waverley Street will close for up to three weeks for deep sewer installation as part of the Elgin Street Renewal project. While closed, Frank Street will open to route westbound traffic across Elgin. Access to the Jack Purcell Community Centre will be maintained via Lewis Street. The pedestrian pathway through Jack Purcell Park will also be closed and pedestrian detours and signage will be in place along Elgin, Metcalfe, Gilmour and Frank to temporarily direct pedestrians around the park. Upper Dwyer Hill Road – Upper Dwyer Hill Road is closed between Vaughn Side Road and Carroll Side Road due to an emergency culvert repair. Detour in place will be Peter Robinson Road between March Road and Vaughn Side Road.
Bronson Avenue– Bronson Avenue will experience traffic disruptions between Imperial Avenue and Arlington Avenue. More information is available on the Bronson Avenue project page.
Road Closures related to flooding – Roads in the West Carleton – March, Cumberland and Bay wards as well as the Chaudière Bridge have been closed due flooding. Residents are advised to avoid areas impacted by flooding and can view up to date information on road closures caused by flooding on our Interactive Traffic Map.
