Ottawa – The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:
- Richmond Road – Due to construction on a couple of apartment buildings and the LRT Stage 2, drivers along the stretch on Richmond Road between Ambleside Drive and Sherbourne may experience significant traffic and delays. This construction will continue to be an issue for the next few years.
- Western Avenue – Western Avenue at Scott Street will be closed from Monday, September 21 until Friday, September 25 for watermain replacement as part of the Scott Street sewer and watermain rehabilitation project. Local access will be maintained. OC Transpo will be detoured. Visit octranspo.com for detour information.
- Strandherd Drive – Strandherd Drive between Greenbank and Jockvale roads will have lane reductions in both directions on weeknights from 7 pm to 6 am from Monday, September 21 until Friday, September 25 to resurface the road as part of the Strandherd Drive widening project. One lane will be maintained in each direction. Pedestrian and cycling access will be maintained.
- Queen Elizabeth Driveway – Queen Elizabeth Driveway between Laurier and Fifth avenues is closed to motorists on weekends from 8 am to 4 pm until Sunday, September 27. This closure is part of the National Capital Commission’s pilot project to facilitate physical distancing.
- Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway – Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway between Carling Avenue and Booth Street is closed to motorists on weekends from 8 am to 4 pm until Sunday, September 27. This closure is part of the National Capital Commission’s pilot project to facilitate physical distancing.
- Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway – Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway between Aviation Parkway and St. Joseph Boulevard is closed to motorists on weekends from 8 am to 4 pm until Sunday, September 27. This closure is part of the National Capital Commission’s pilot project to facilitate physical distancing.
