Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway will have one westbound lane closed at Woodroffe Avenue daily from 7 am to 5 pm starting Monday, February 28 until Friday, March 4 for sewer repairs. The multi-use pathway on the north side of the parkway at Woodroffe Avenue will be closed for safety reasons but the pathway to the east and west will remain open.
Redwood Avenue will close daily from 7 am to 5 pm between Byron Avenue and Richmond Road starting Monday, February 28 until Saturday, March 5 for Stage 2 LRT work.
There are ongoing traffic and transit delays or disruptions in the downtown core as a result of police operations. Residents can continue to check the City’s online traffic map and select “incidents” to see up-to-date information.
The following streets will have daytime lane closures or reductions beginning the week of Monday, February 28 until mid-April for utility work related to the Albert-Queen-Slater-Bronson reconstruction project. Pedestrian, cyclist and transit access will be maintained. Please watch for signs and visit OCTranspo.com for transit service impacts:
- Albert Street, between Empress Avenue and Bay Street, will have lane reductions
- Queen Street, between Bronson Avenue and Bay Street, will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic during off-peak hours
- Slater Street, between Bronson Avenue and Bay Street, will have off-peak lane reductions
- Bronson Avenue, between Slater Street and Albert Street, will be reduced to one lane
