Did you know that the City offers deferral programs for property taxes for people with disabilities and older adults living on a low-income? These programs allow eligible homeowners to apply for a full or partial deferral of their annual property taxes and/or water bill.
Full property tax deferral program

Water bill deferral
• Available for all resident who meet the eligibility criteria

To apply, you will need your Property Tax Roll Number and a Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency. A fee of $160 will be charged to the tax account upon receipt of the application, and subsequent year applications will be charged a fee of $56. Accessible formats are available upon request, such as large print, e-text and braille.
