Ottawa Public Library will be holding its annual signature event, Tales and Tunes: Family Fun Day at the Library, on Saturday, July 6, from 12 noon to 5 pm at Ben Franklin Place and the Nepean Centrepointe branch of OPL.
Tales & Tunes is a free, family-oriented celebration of storytelling and literacies of many kinds. Participants will enjoy Indigenous, French and English storytellers, drumming workshops, ukulele jams, a strolling musician, a magic show, dance workshops, crafts and musical performances by Twin Flames, Ariko, Juno-award-winning Splash N’ Boots, and Monkey Rock Music; as well as a variety of more drop-in activities throughout the afternoon. The event has been extremely well-received and attended in past years and OPL is confident this year’s event will bring the community together like never before. The location, in the geographical centre of Ottawa, is located conveniently next to the Baseline station stop along the Transit way.
