On December 4, support the Ottawa Food Bank’s essential work by participating in the 37th annual OC Transpo/Loblaw Christmas Food Drive!
This Saturday, Ottawa residents are being asked to pick up a little something extra when they go shopping this weekend. The City of Ottawa, along with Loblaw Companies Limited, will be collecting food and cash donations for the 37th annual OC Transpo/Loblaw Christmas Food Drive to benefit the Ottawa Food Bank on Saturday, December 4 from 10 am to 5 pm. Councillor Kavanagh will be attending the Carlingwood Mall site from 10 am to 11am.
Again for this year’s campaign, OC Transpo has worked closely with Ottawa Public Health, the Ottawa Food Bank, and Loblaw Companies Limited to include extra safety measures. Cashiers will be accepting donations of money, and non-perishable food donations are accepted via in-store donation bins.
In addition to non-perishable food items, cash donations are also welcome, either through store cashiers or online at ottawafoodbank.ca/octranspo. For every dollar you give, the Ottawa Food Bank can deliver about $5 worth of food to the community.
By working together, we can make this year’s campaign another success for the Ottawa Food Bank, and support those struggling with food insecurity over the holiday season.
