The City will be performing a supplemental environmental investigation at Andrew Haydon Park:

Purpose
The Environmental Remediation Unit (ERU) of the Corporate Real Estate Office (CREO) is conducting this environmental investigation for due diligence purposes.
This work is to be conducted as per the recommendation of a preliminary investigation in 2021 to further characterize the soil & groundwater quality due to the historical presence of fill material onsite.
Type of Activities
The work mainly includes borehole drilling, monitoring well installation, and soil and groundwater sampling at various locations.
Working Hours
8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Impacts
Major impacts on the following items are not expected:
- Traffics;
- Dust.
Some level of impacts on the following items are expected:
- Access restriction to the drilling areas when construction is in progress.
- Construction noise.
Health and Safety (H&S)
Access to the drilling areas will be restricted via utilization of pedestrian traffic control measures (i.e. cones, barricades, caution tapes, etc.).
There will be no H&S risks to the facility users due to this investigation outside of drilling areas/hours.
