Item coming up at the next Planning Committee meeting on October 24.
The Planning committee will consider stormwater management guidelines being proposed for the area around Pinecrest Creek and Westboro. This is an area that continues to see a lot of infill and redevelopment, so staff have prepared guidelines to further mitigate negative impacts to the creek and the Ottawa River, including erosion and poor water quality.
New developments within the affected area that require a site plan control approval, including infill projects, would be required to achieve specific criteria related to runoff volume, water quality and water quantity control specified within the guidelines.
