Pinecrest exit to reopen December 22
I wanted to take this opportunity to provide a Stage 2 LRT project update with a few major milestones that have been reached as part of the project. The rock breaking sections required for the west cut and cover tunnels are complete. The tunnel work along the western corridor reached the goal of 60,000 cubic meters of concrete poured in 2023. At the end of December, the Parkway/Byron Tunnel will be 85% complete.
I am happy to share that there will be a construction break from December 22 to January 2 for this holiday season, however site maintenance (snow clearing, refueling of generators for pumps and heating, and non-impactful station work) will continue through the break.
Good news for residents who use the Pinecrest exit heading west. This ramp will reopen on Friday December 22 at 7am.
