This notice is to advise that, as part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, Ashley Street will close to traffic. Please note, access to 1070 Morrison Drive will be maintained. Buses will not be able to access Ashley Street.
What: Road closure of Ashley Street, allowing Local Traffic Only.
When: Starting April 24, 2022, until 2025.
Why: The Transitway closure between Pinecrest interchange and Bayshore Mall begins on April 24, 2022, to allow for construction of the LRT guideway. This street is being closed in order to improve efficiency during the Transitway detour for the high volume of buses using the eastbound off-ramp to Pinecrest.
Where: Ashley Street, located between Morrison Drive and Highway 417 eastbound Iris off-ramp
Anticipated Impacts
Signed traffic detours will be in effect during this road closure. Pedestrian mobility will be maintained. Ashley Street will be open to Local Traffic only.
