Trucks will deliver granular material to the site and will haul away excavated material. Noise from equipment and moving of material will be audible.
Site lighting and generators will be used to power lights which are a safety requirement for overnight work. Crews will place and/or direct the light away from residences to mitigate any impacts.
Richmond Road businesses within the detoured corridor remain open and accessible. Customers should follow the signage posted on site. Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, use extra caution, and allow for added travel time when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
The sidewalk on the north side of Richmond Road remains closed from 955 Richmond (Ottawa Honda) to McEwen Avenue. Pedestrians and cyclists will continue to be detoured along a temporary pathway north of the construction site across McEwen Park terminating at the intersection of Ambleside Avenue and McEwen Avenue, or along the sidewalk on Ambleside Avenue.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
