Notice of Weekend Road Closure: Richmond Road at McEwen Avenue

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, a full weekend closure of a section of Richmond Road at McEwen Avenue will be required. Detours will be in effect. Local access will be maintained and all residents in the area will continue to have driveway access during this work.
What: Full closure of Richmond Road at McEwen Avenue.
When: Friday, September 13 at 9:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, September 16.
Why: Excavation, materials removal, backfilling, grading, and reinstatement.
Where: Richmond Road at McEwen Avenue.
Detour

Motorists wishing to travel westbound on Richmond Road will proceed south on Woodroffe Avenue to Carling Avenue. They will turn right onto Carling Avenue and continue westbound until reaching Croydon Avenue, where they will turn right and proceed north on Croydon Avenue until reconnecting with Richmond Road.

Motorists wishing to travel eastbound on Richmond Road will proceed south on Croydon Avenue, turn left onto Carling and proceed east until the J-Ramp exit to the Kichi Zìbì Mìkan. They will use the J-Ramp exit to merge onto the Kichi Zìbì Mìkan and then proceed eastbound to Woodroffe Avenue. They will turn right onto Woodroffe Avenue and then proceed southbound until reconnecting with Richmond Road.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
