The City of Ottawa’s Rail Construction Program continues to make great progress expanding the O-Train network.
Construction is underway across all three Stage 2 LRT O-Train Extensions:
• In the south, progress continues to be made on station structures and sections of the guideway. Trackwork is underway at several sites. The Rideau River Pedestrian Bridge was recently installed over the Rideau River, from Carleton University in the north to Vincent Massey Park in the south.
• In the east, Crews continue to work on rail installation, and station construction. There will be a continued focus on work in the Montréal Road area over the summer and into the fall. Work on the Place D’Orleans pedestrian crossing is expected in the near future.
• In the west, work at the Moodie Light Maintenance and Storage Facility, Pinecrest Station, Queensview Station, Iris Road/Pinecrest Creek, Algonquin Station, Lincoln Fields Station, and Byron Linear Park excavation and station work is ongoing. Cut and Cover Tunnel construction is progressing on the Parkway Tunnel. Work is progressing well at the Pinecrest 417 interchange and Holly Acres 417 interchange.
