O-Train West Extension
Moodie Station Area and Light Maintenance and Storage Facility (LMSF):
o Construction for the Service and Inspection building is underway.
o LMSF retaining wall construction and utilities relocation and connections are ongoing.
o Foundation construction for the Train Storage Shed is underway.
o Retaining wall work for the bridge construction of the future southbound Moodie to westbound 417 on-ramp is ongoing.
o The westbound on-ramp from northbound Moodie Drive is closed until December 2021 for the construction of a new bridge and ramp.
o Excavation has started on Corkstown Road at the bus station for the future relocation of Corkstown Road.
Holly Acres and Highway 417 Interchange
o Foundation work for high mast light poles adjacent to the Highway 417 westbound on-ramp from northbound Holly Acres continues.
o Parapet work is completed. Approach slab work continues.
Bayshore Station Area
o Bayshore bus loop construction is ongoing. Third party utility relocation work is ongoing.
o A new sidewalk connecting to Woodridge Circle is open to re-route pedestrians around the new bus loop.
Pinecrest Station Area
o Rock breaking, line drilling, and excavation are underway for the Pinecrest trench.
o Temporary configuration for the sidewalk is underway.
o Retaining wall construction underneath existing overpass is underway.
Algonquin Station Area
o Foundation work is ongoing for the north and south station.
o Micropile installation will be completed in August.
o Utility work crossing Woodroffe to service the station is expected to start in August.
Iris Station Area
o Excavation and finishing works for the Pinecrest Creek realignment is ongoing.
o Realignment of the road along the Transitway from the Lincoln Fields split structure to Iris is ongoing. This will enable the Transitway to remain open while the LRT guideway is built in this area.o Excavation and hauling at the Pinecrest Storm Management Pond continues. Culvert installation is scheduled for this month.
Lincoln Fields Flyover Rail Bridge (south of Lincoln Fields)
o Work on the columns for the new Woodroffe pedestrian bridge has started.
o Split-structure diaphragm and deck construction are ongoing.
Connaught Cut and Cover Tunnel and Queensview Station Area
o Watermain relocation in Connaught Park has resumed.
o Queensview Station sanitary and storm line relocation work is ongoing.
o Drilled shafts and concrete pouring for support of excavation work is underway for the Connaught Tunnel along Queensview.
Lincoln Fields Station Area
o Foundation work for the station is underway.
o Retaining wall footings and wall work ongoing.
o Pile drilling for support of excavation is ongoing.
o Temporary traffic realignments are in place on Carling Avenue as work progresses. Girders for the new bridge are expected at the end of August.
o Utilities relocation on Edgeworth will continue through August.
o At the north end of Lincoln Fields, drilling and bridge deck work crossing Richmond is underway.
Byron and Richmond Corridor (Byron Linear Park)
o Sanitary line relocation work at McEwen Avenue and Hartleigh Avenue has resumed.
o Cylinder piles are being drilled and rock breaking is ongoing for the cut and cover tunnel excavation.
o East of Woodroffe Avenue drilling, lagging and rock breaking is ongoing. Sewer bypass work has been completed.
o Gas and telecom line relocations are ongoing.
o Concrete pouring for the Parkway Tunnel walls has started in sections, which requires temporary closures along Byron Avenue until winter.
Communications and Stakeholder Relations
All City of Ottawa in-person public meetings are cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rail Construction Program is using other means and methods for sharing information with the public.
