There are now easier ways to report an outage with Hydro Ottawa. Since January 23, 2024, anyone can report an outage, whether they are a Hydro Ottawa customer or not, for any location within their service territory. All you need is a valid email address. Eligibility of net-metering customers to Ontario’s Customer Choice program
As of January 1, 2024, net-metered customers, who are billed under the Ontario government’s Regulated Price Plan (RPP), can now choose between three rate plan options: Time-of-use, Tiered or Ultra-low overnight prices.
To switch between rate plans, net-metering customers must notify Hydro Ottawa by completing a rate selection form.
