As construction continues for the Revitalizing Richmond Road project, I have been working with local businesses and Richmond Road construction crews to ensure the best possible access to businesses during this time.
Based on feedback, we have improved access, and contractors have created new signage to help residents easily find their favorite businesses.
This week, I hosted my annual Volunteer Appreciation event, supporting local businesses by purchasing food and prizes from establishments in our community.
Many of you have written my office to express concerns about the impact of construction on these businesses and have suggested that the city provide financial support. Unfortunately, municipalities are unable to provide direct funding to businesses affected by construction.
The best way to support your local businesses? Visit them, shop, and show your support during this challenging time!
