Pick up some summer reading — and support affordable housing for local families — at the ReStore Reads Book Fair, taking place Aug. 10 and 11 at Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa’s ReStore in Stittsville.
From thrillers and mysteries to cookbooks and history, you’re sure to find some must-reads among the 10,000-plus titles on offer, all at great prices.
Proceeds from the volunteer-led sale will go directly to Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa to support the organization in building more safe and affordable homes that provide a solid foundation for local families. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, and Sunday, Aug. 11, at the ReStore at 3 Iber Drive, just south of Hazeldean Road.
Organizers are also seeking donations to add to the sale’s already huge selection. From July 15 through July 28, please bring your new and gently-used books to the Stittsville ReStore.
As well, more volunteers are needed to get the most from the sale and assist local families. If you’d like to help out, contact bookfair@habitatgo.ca.
