Ottawa residents are invited to join the upcoming Repair Cafe, hosted by the Ottawa Tool Library and sponsored by the Dream Community Foundation. The event will take place on Saturday, May 13th from 10am – 3pm at La Ruelle at Zibi.
The Repair Cafés are part of an international network of events that seek to reduce waste, connect community, and exchange skills. For some folks, it is an opportunity to have a crucial household item repaired without breaking the budget, for others it is an opportunity to find new purpose in something that would otherwise end up in our city’s landfill.
For our volunteers, it is a moment to share their repair skills to help fellow community members and our planet. These days are always full of energy and excitement and would love to show you around! You are also welcome to bring something to have repaired, of course!
