This is a gentle reminder that on Saturday, October 19 from 3.30 to 6.00 pm Ottawa Friends of Tibet are holding our annual fundraising event at the First Unitarian Congregation church, 30 Cleary Avenue. There will be a light snack of momos and butter tea, followed by Tibetan dances, a silent auction and Himalayan bazaar. Families with children are more than welcome. Our funds contribute to projects in India and Nepal for Tibetan refugee youth who are working hard to improve their education. Our projects are a small but important reminder of how essential it is to support minority groups like the Tibetans who have been forced to flee from their homeland.
