If you are thinking of improving the energy efficiency of your home there are lots of rebates, incentives and financing programs available to help you. You’ll find a handy list of them all at betterhomesottawa.ca.
Key programs include:
Better Homes Ottawa – Loan Program – up to a $125,000 loan from the City to finance energy retrofits. This program is currently full, but you can sign up to the waitlist to be notified as soon as more funding is available.
Canada Greener Homes Grant – grants of up to $5,600 from the federal government to help homeowners make where they live more energy-efficient.
Canada Greener Homes Loan – interest free loans of up to $40,000 per household from the federal government to help finance eligible energy retrofits.
Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate – Enbridge Gas customers can get up to $5,000 in rebates for energy-efficiency upgrades.
Enbridge Home Winterproofing Program – income-qualifying Enbridge Gas customers can receive, free of charge, energy saving improvements such as insulation and draft proofing.
