The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is kicking off Crime Prevention Week at the Crime Prevention Ottawa (CPO) Community Safety Awards Ceremony, November 4th at City Hall.
This year’s theme of “Preventing Crime, Protecting People” will connect OPS officers with the community at several events city-wide. Crime prevention is everyone’s responsibility, and by working together we can increase the safety of everyone who lives here.
Their Community Police Officers will be at the following Bay Ward location during Crime Prevention Week:
- November 6: Carlingwood Shopping Mall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You are welcome to drop by to learn how you can safeguard your family and your home.
Topics include:
- Personal safety;
- 529 Garage bike registry;
- Home inspections;
- Online reporting;
- Vehicle security (All valuables removed); and
- Crime Stoppers.
Please come and join us at the CPO awards Monday evening – police officers will be there to take questions from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and will join those attending in recognizing some exceptional residents, including Bay Ward’s West End Motivators, who have helped to increase the safety of our neighbourhoods city-wide.
