As you may have noticed, just before 1:00pm this afternoon (June 18, 2022) areas of Bay Ward started to experience power outages. Some areas have been restored but many are still without. An update from Hydro Ottawa explains that the cause is loss of power from the provincial grid to four stations. Other wards affected by this outage are Knoxdale-Merivale, College, and Kitchissippi.
Hydro Ottawa crews are working with Hydro One to help them restore the power as quickly and as safely as possible. Estimated time for restoration is 6:00pm this evening. For updates please visit the Hydro Ottawa Outage Centre here
