This notice is to advise that, as part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project the Lincoln Fields Station Pedestrian Bridge connection to Carling Avenue will be closed and removed.
WHAT: The Lincoln Fields Station Pedestrian Bridge access at Carling Avenue will permanently close on September 20th to facilitate work on and under Carling Avenue. There will be a signed detour for pedestrian access to and from the bus station. Next year, the bridge structure will be removed.
WHEN: The Carling Avenue access to Lincoln Fields Station Pedestrian Bridge will close permanently to the public as early as September 20, 2021.
WHY: The closure and removal of the Pedestrian Bridge is required to advance construction for the future LRT Station at Lincoln Fields.
WHERE: On Carling Avenue, north side, at the Lincoln Fields bus station
ANTICIPATED IMPACTS
Pedestrian and cyclist mobility will be maintained using a signed detour. During the removal of the structure, nearby residents may experience noise and vibration.
