The Ottawa River Canoe Club is a non-profit paddling organization in operation since 2002 and located in the west-end of Ottawa. They offer a variety of recreational and competitive paddling programs for everyone, including SUP, recreational canoe / kayak, sprint racing, Masters, Paddle All, adventure racing, outrigger or dragon boat. ORCC has programs for everyone. The Club recently invested in making programs more accessible to everyone, including the installation of a transfer bench and an accessible dock. These enhancements are designed to support individuals in getting in and out of boats safely, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all participants.

This has led them to initiating a paddling program for seniors, by seniors! They encourage any older adults, over the age of 55, who are looking for more ways to stay physically active, enjoy the outdoors, and be in a social environment, to try a paddling session, and see if it’s the right fit for you. At no cost to you! For more information about the Club visit here. Older adults who are interested to learn more about the paddling program for seniors are invite to email info@orcc.ca to be placed on their list for when more details become available.
