At Monday’s Board of Health meeting, Ottawa Public Health (OPH) provided an update on Ottawa’s Overdose Response Strategy and launched an updated version of its StopOverdoseOttawa.ca or ArretOverdoseOttawa.ca portal.
This portal has been expanded to provide timely data about the current overdose situation in Ottawa. It also includes links to Ottawa’s Overdose Prevention Strategy as well as information on substance-use health services and supports.
First launched in 2017, StopOverdoseOttawa.ca was created by members of the Overdose Prevention and Response Task Force, a network of local and regional partners working to address the overdose crisis in Ottawa.
The portal, developed in response to feedback provided by community partners to OPH, also includes The Mental Health, Addictions and Substance Use Health Community Dashboard, which provides detailed data related to the mental health, addictions and substance-use health needs of Ottawa residents.
