(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Services Board would like to invite community members wishing to address the Board on the 2020 Ottawa Police budget to its Finance and Audit Committee meeting on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 10:00am, in the Colonel By Room of Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West.
Delegations will be given up to five minutes to speak. Those looking to be added to the speakers list are asked to contact Krista Ferraro at krista.ferraro@ottawa.ca by end of day November 11.
The 2020 Draft Operating and Capital Budgets were tabled by the Board at a special meeting on November 6. The draft budget documents can be accessed online.
The budget will be going before the Board for approval
at its November 25 meeting, which begins at 4:00 pm, in the Champlain Room of
Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West. Council will be considering the
police budget at its meeting on December 11, 2019.
The Ottawa Police Services Board is the civilian body responsible
for governing the Ottawa Police Service. It is responsible for ensuring
the provision of adequate and effective police services to the City of Ottawa’s
residents.
