(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Services Board would like to invite community members wishing to address the Board on the 2021 Ottawa Police budget to its Finance and Audit Committee meeting on Monday, November 9, 2020, at 1:00pm. Those looking to be added to the speakers list are asked to register in advance by contacting Hannah Logan at hannah.logan@ottawa.ca before 4:00 pm on Friday, November 6. Delegations will have up to five minutes to speak.
The 2021 Draft Operating and Capital Budgets will be tabled by the Board at a special meeting on November 4. The draft budget documents can be accessed online following the budget tabling.
The budget will be going before the Board for approval at its November 23 monthly meeting. City Council will be considering the police budget at its meeting on December 9, 2020.
The Ottawa Police Services Board is the civilian body responsible for governing the Ottawa Police Service. It is responsible for ensuring the provision of adequate and effective police services to the City of Ottawa’s residents.
