Ottawa Humane Society is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new training program, Junior Trainers: Tricks & Games, beginning on October 17. With reported dog bites increasing in our community, it is important for our youth to have the skills to train their current and future dogs for a happier safer community.
This fun and interactive program will allow kids aged 9 to 14 to work alongside their family dog and a certified dog trainer to learn basic manners, tricks, and games that strengthen their bond. Over the course of six weeks, participants will not only teach their pets new skills but also gain valuable knowledge about animal body language and the fundamentals of dog training.
