I look forward to seeing you at future events.
Further to this public meeting I had the opportunity to attend the LRT Stage 2 Subcommittee this Friday at City Hall and relay to the Stage 2 LRT management the many concerns and questions that arose from the Open House meeting. I raised the outstanding concerns on pedestrian safety particularly with the new traffic detours and asked for more focus on the pedestrian routes throughout this area. I reminded management of the devastating impact the construction detours are having on the small businesses and asked what more can we do for them. Significant traffic delays have also been an issue. The Stage 2 LRT and the Richmond Road Complete Street will have positive impacts for the community when completed but the construction is a heavy price to pay and the effects needs to be addressed.
