In the coming weeks, Forestry services will begin pruning trees adjacent to properties between Woodroffe Ave and Sherbourne Rd. North and South limits include Richmond Rd. and Carling Ave.
The work generally consists of but not limited to pruning and removing branches for the health of the tree, clearance of any encroaching trees on infrastructure and safety concerns such as sight lines for pedestrians as well as vehicles.
Forestry staff will be notifying residents with city owned trees adjacent to their property via flyers prior to work commencing on their street outlining the work to be performed. They forecast that the work will take the reminder of 2021. There are approximately 3580 trees to be pruned along streets. This forecast is subject to weather, priority work and any other unforeseen circumstances that may require Forestry Services resources to be reallocated.
