As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, vehicles will be required to access the Lincoln Fields worksite and mobile construction offices from Lawn Avenue Parkette located at Edgeworth Avenue and Lawn Avenue.
The use of Edgeworth Avenue by heavy equipment and large trucks will be restricted. Residents are advised that occasional deliveries of equipment and materials will be required on Edgeworth Avenue as site access via Carling Avenue is limited. Large trucks may be present on Edgeworth Avenue to
facilitate these deliveries and efforts will be made to minimize the use of the street by these trucks.
What: Light vehicle traffic (pickup trucks and personal vehicles) travelling along Edgeworth Avenue and Lawn Avenue with occasional use of the street by heavy trucks for equipment and material deliveries.
When: Ongoing from Friday, December 6, 2024.
Why: Light vehicles will be required to travel along Edgeworth Avenue and Lawn Avenue to access the mobile offices at the LRT construction site at Lincoln Fields. Occasional deliveries of equipment and materials using heavy trucks will be required on Edgeworth Avenue as access to the Lincoln Fields worksite via Carling Avenue is limited.
Where: Lawn Avenue Parkette, Edgeworth Avenue and Lawn Avenue, north of Carling Avenue.
Anticipated Impacts
Residents living on Edgeworth Avenue and Lawn Avenue will see light vehicle traffic throughout the day and evenings.
Occasional large trucks may be present on Edgeworth Avenue to facilitate equipment and material deliveries and efforts will be made to keep this traffic to a minimum.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
