The City of Gatineau has notified us that the North end of the Chief William Commanda Bridge will be temporarily closed from Tuesday, May 14, 2024 – Friday, May 17, 2024. This is required due to work being completed to improve the intersection of the Sentier des Voyaguers and CWC bridge pathways. The City of Gatineau will place barriers (fences) on the North end of the bridge pathway to prevent pedestrians from crossing. The entrance on the Ottawa side (South end) of the bridge will remain open to pedestrians, with no exit to Gatineau. Signage will be installed on both sides of the bridge today indicating that the North end of the bridge is closed, and there will be no access to Voyageurs Pathway due to the City of Gatineau’s pathway improvements project.
