It’s that time of year! Ottawa’s Crossing Guard of the Year contest will run from April 8th through May 17th, 2024.
This year, Ottawa Safety Councill (OSC) will recognize three Crossing Guards who will each receive a $500 cash prize and are awarded the OSC Crossing Guard of the Year award.
OSC will be holding an appreciation event at the schools associated with each of the winning Crossing Guards and the Mayor will be invited for the official proclamation for Crossing Guard Appreciation Week in Ottawa set for early June 2024.
The three schools that cast the most votes will be awarded with a $300 gift card to Canadian Tire.
