Drilling locations are plotted in the aerial photo displayed above of Pinecrest Road near the Highway. Given proximity to these high volume driving lanes and ramps, the work must occur at night. We don’t anticipate any major impacts to residents nearby; it is not much louder than typical highway sounds.
Kiewit-Eurovia-Vinci (KEV) has applied for an extension to this Noise Bylaw Exemption permitting geotechnical and pavement investigation borehole drilling during overnight hours along westbound Highway 417 and ramps at Pinecrest and Queensview. The new expiry date is December 23, 2019. This work must occur at night as not to impact highway operations, and to date has had little to no impact on stakeholders nearby.
