New No Parking Regulations to be Implemented this spring.
Over the last year the City has received a number of concerns from residents regarding the consistent use of on-street parking on Moodie Dr. between Carling Ave. and Corkstown Rd. by employees of the DND complex.
Parking issues on Moodie continue to persist and now with snowbanks starting to grow again the vehicles which are normally able to park entirely off the roadway are beginning to impede the curbside travel lane and right turn lane.
As the lack of parking on the DND property will persist for some time, the City will be installing No Parking Anytime signage along the West side of Moodie Dr. between Carling Ave. and the southern-most entrance to the DND campus. The City will monitor behavior in the area following the installation of these restrictions to see if further action is required.
The restrictions will be year-round and the timeline for signage installation is Spring 2020 once the ground has thawed as 10+ new post will need to be installed.
