A noise exemption application has been granted to the owner of 929 Richmond Road (new development – The Azure) for construction noise/equipment associated with the installation of City services (water and sewer). The City doesn’t allow this work to be done during the day. Lane reductions are not allowed at this intersection from 6 am to 7 pm.
A condition for the exemption has been applied. The applicant must keep the noise level at less than 65 dBA (see infographics below)

When: Monday, October 12th to Friday, October 16th AND Monday, October 19th to Friday, October 23rd, 2020 from 22:00 to 06:00

Rationale for exemption: The Applicant advised that the planned construction activities need to be performed overnight as to minimize traffic disruption and potential safety hazards to the public and staff by working at the time where traffic congestion is greatly reduced and as per the Road cut permit (no lane reduction is allowed from 6 am to 7 pm). Construction notices will be distributed to area residents prior to commencing any night work.
