The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has committed to the redeployment of neighbourhood resource teams (NRTs) in Bay Ward communities. The decision to introduce NRTs into a number of Ottawa neighbourhoods gives the OPS as well as the City of Ottawa a unique opportunity to determine the value such programs create (if any) and for whom. Carleton University has been asked to do an evaluation.
The information collected will help PQCHC and other members of the community to better understand how people feel about this new program and improve service coordination in our neighbourhood.
