Don’t miss the National Forum on Basic Income, May 23-26 being held in Ottawa on the University of Ottawa campus
Poverty affects everyone. We don’t like seeing homeless people or long Food Bank lineups. We know there is a lot of misery behind those images. This is a Canada-wide crisis.
The national movement for a Basic Income is holding a Forum in Ottawa to demonstrate that the status quo is unacceptable. https://forum2024.ca
We invite our community to take advantage of this Forum.
The May 23-26 Basic Income Guarantee Forum, at the University of Ottawa (with some online access), will be one of the most important events in Canada in the past 20 years concerning basic income – a vital means of improving and ensuring income security for all, and thereby helping to improve health outcomes and so much more. Forum organizers have assembled a program to feature a diverse lineup of speakers from across Canada. https://forum2024.ca/program
Fees include a reduced rate to help accommodate people in low income. As well, a subsidy may be available to further help some people who otherwise might not be able to attend. For details on registration, click here.
